Postponement of the Barcelona and Monza Events

Due to the escalation of the Covid-19 (coronavirus), and following consultation with the relevant local authorities and the staff at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya and Autodromo Nazionale di Monza, the decision has been taken to postpone the Official Test and opening round of the 2020 European Le Mans Series at Barcelona on the 4th and 5th April as well as the 4 Hours of Monza on 9th and 10th May.

The new dates for the 4 Hours of Barcelona and the 4 Hours of Monza will be communicated in due course. The ELMS organisers will continue to closely monitor the situation and provide updates if and when necessary.

Gérard Neveu, European Le Mans Series CEO said: “This decision was not made lightly but is the appropriate and responsible decision. We had no other choice than to postpone our events. The welfare of our teams, members of the paddock and race fans has to remain our priority. We are working on a revised calendar and will communicate that in the next few days.”
