2008
After his end of season flourish in the Formula Renault Eurocup in
2007, when Jon emerged as the driver to beat, he has been left champing at the bit in recent weeks, desperate to get back into any racing car.

As reported some weeks ago, it is with mounting excitement that Jon is now eagerly waiting to climb into the ART Formula 3 car, in preparation
for what promises to be a major racing season in Europe, and another important addition to his growing CV.
Not unexpectedly Jon’s target in 2008 will be his maiden Formula 3 win, but he is under no illusions of the task ahead of him. “It will
be a very difficult season with many second and third year drivers (in Formula 3), but I know that being with the right team is the way
forward for me. ART has been renamed from ASM, who will give me the best opportunity to compete for race wins! If we can get to the podium
quicker than last year then I believe we can have a shout for the title.”
And if the way he took apart the Renault Eurocup and French competition during the last half of the season was anything to go by,
then it follows that a confident Jon Lancaster should be given very serious consideration for the title, in only his first year in the
class.
With ART he knows he is racing with the best European Formula 3 team in the business. And armed with that knowledge he knows he will be
given a car capable of winning races and a championship.
The 2008 clock is ticking…
