Jon continued with his pre-race preparation for the Estoril race in Portugal this coming weekend, by dominating both the morning and afternoon sessions of free practice.

This may have been Jon's first visit to the Portugese circuit, but it did not stop the SG Formula Renault driver and double race winner, from delivering two fine performances where he topped the time-sheets by 2/10ths all day.

"This is one of the circuits where Jon has not been able to use Playstation to learn the track," Lancaster Snr said earlier this evening, "but Jon was absolutely exceptional, especially when this was his first visit to the track. For me this was one of his best drives ever".

Another day of free practice awaits the Eurocup Formula Renault drivers tomorrow (Friday), before the penultimate rounds take place on Saturday and Sunday, as Jon aims to put a stronger seal on his bid to be the 2007 vice champion.
